Getting your dog ready

A few house rules that keep the visit smooth and stress-free – for your dog and for you.

  • Bathed and brushed (haircut-only bookings)Shampoo twice with conditioner no more than a day before, dry fully and brush right down to the skin. Or just add a bath to your booking and skip the hassle.
  • Walked, and not on a full stomachGive your dog a proper walk before drop-off and skip the meal right before the visit.
  • Vaccinated, wormed, flea-freeUp-to-date vaccinations are a condition of every appointment.
  • Tell us about health issuesEpilepsy, skin growths, warts, old fractures, sore teeth – it all matters for safe handling on the table.
  • Carry your dog in on rainy daysA freshly bathed dog that walks in through puddles goes straight back in the tub. A carrier, bag or your arms will do the trick.

About us

Dogs have been my whole life

I'm Hana Mašínová, and there hasn't been a time in my life without a dog in it. My first own dog was Beimi, a Shar Pei, back in 1993 – the Yorkies and Biewers that became my speciality followed soon after.

I've run this salon since 2004, first in the Lužiny shopping centre and now in a space on Píškova street that my brother and I rebuilt from scratch with our own hands. Every dog gets an individual approach: puppies learn the table patiently, step by step, and you're always welcome to stay and watch.

A heartfelt thank-you to the master groomers and veterinarians I've had the pleasure of working with over the years.

FAQ

Good to know before you come

How do I book an appointment?
Call +420 603 890 000 to arrange a time. The salon works by appointment Monday to Friday; weekend slots are possible by arrangement for a 50% surcharge. When booking, mention when your dog was last groomed and what shape the coat is in – it helps estimate the time and price.
Do you speak English?
The salon is Czech-run, and simple English works fine for bookings. For the haircut itself, a photo of the style you want is honestly the best tool there is – it speaks every language. You can also get in touch through the salon's Facebook page.
Does my dog need a bath before a haircut-only appointment?
Yes. Dogs booked for a haircut only must arrive freshly bathed (within the last day – shampooed twice, with conditioner), completely dry and brushed through to the skin. Dirty or oily coats ruin clipper blades and scissors. If bathing at home isn't practical, just add a bath & blow-dry to your booking.
Can I stay with my dog during grooming?
Yes – you're welcome to stay for the whole appointment. Most dogs (and their humans) find it far less stressful, and it's something this salon is genuinely proud of.
Do you sedate dogs?
Never. All grooming is done patiently and gently, and puppies are eased into it step by step. The grooming-table restraint is purely a safety harness (certified for salon use) so dogs can't jump or fall off. Aggressive or unmanageable dogs can't be accepted, even muzzled.
How much will it cost?
A haircut is CZK 500–700 for small dogs and CZK 600–900 for medium ones; a bath & blow-dry is CZK 200–500 depending on size. Small add-ons (nails, ears, glands) are CZK 60 each. The exact price is confirmed at the salon based on coat condition – see the full price list.
Where are you and how do I get there?
Píškova 1956/32, Prague 13 – Lužiny, in the basement (the building's former laundry room). Take metro line B to Lužiny – it's a one-minute walk from the station. Look for the orange "PSÍ SALON" sign in the basement window; there's a photo of the entrance in the contact section.
Do you groom mixed breeds?
Of course – purebreds and mixed breeds alike, as long as they're small or medium-sized (up to 45 cm at the withers). Yorkshire Terriers are the salon's speciality.
